Review of “Travelers” (season 2)

* * * B

travelers-s2Travelers continues to deliver. The second season involves two major conflicts: the first traveler, and the faction. There are plenty of new wrinkles, including the director’s ability to overwrite someone multiple times to allow “retries” when their mission fails. Traveler 0001 turns out to be a formidable opponent.

The drama in season 2 largely revolves around Grant MacLaren (Eric McCormack)’s relationship with his wife, and Marcy (MacKenzie Porter)’s relationship with David (Patrick Gilmore), which is complicated by the fact that she was overwritten at the end of season 1 and lost all her memories of him.

I hope that season 3 (coming on Netflix only, likely in December) will be able to sustain the level of story telling that season 2 had. If you like science fiction, this series is definitely worth a try.
