The Worst Films I Watched in 2016

Here are the 8 worst films I watched last year, from least to most horrible:

#8: “London Has Fallen” **

A trope filled action flick starring Gerard Butler with dialog that is laugh out loud bad, this is none-the-less a fun film to watch.

#7: “The Mechanic” (2011) *

This Jason Statham remake of an old Charles Bronson film about an assassin was almost OK.

#6: “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” *

A predictable post apocalyptic science fiction film with terrible visuals.

#5: “Banshee Chapter” *

A low budget found footage horror film that uses bad lighting to hide the lack of any effects.

#4: “Vigilante Diaries” *

Another terrible action film.

#3: “Midnight Special” *

An dull, ugly film about a kid who has special abilities.

#2: “I Am Not a Serial Killer” *

This mediocre horror film features a sociopath as the protagonist, and also stars Christopher Lloyd. Tough to get through.

worst-picture#1: “Prince of Darkness”

This unwatchably bad film by John Carpenter (who made some pretty good movies, including The Thing and Starman) was recommended on a list of top horror movies by someone with incredibly bad taste. It is by far the worst film I tried to watch this year. I was able to watch about half of it.
