Statuary and More in Old Montreal

Here are a few more shots I took today in Old Montreal, mainly capturing detail. There first is of an interesting tower on a building near the metro station:


The building next to it had an large domed roof:


The hotel on the north side of the Place d’Arms (the square in front of the Notre Dame Basilica) has some very cool ornamentation. There are a whole row of these heads:


Finally, I took some close ups of the statues on the basilica. I’m pretty sure the one on the left is Simon Barjonas (St. Peter, if you’re Catholic):


In the middle, Jesus, with a hub cap diamond star halo:


And finally, on the left, John the Baptist:
