Heaven Values Us All

Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
― Oprah Winfrey

Jesus put the following question to his disciples:

sheepWhat do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine, and go into the mountains to seek the which has gone astray? And if he finds it, won’t he rejoice more over that sheep, than over the ninety-nine which did not stray?

Jesus is pointing out how we value what is new in our lives, and take for granted the everyday things that we already possess and especially our friends and loved ones. He hammers this point home very succinctly:

But it is not the will heaven that even one little child should perish.
