Review of “Monsters: Dark Continent”

* * C

Monsters: Dark Continent is a war movmonsters-dark-continentie that happens to have extraterrestrials in the mix. After a racey beginning back home, four friends ship out to the infected zone in the middle east to battle both monsters and native insurgents who are fighting the forces who are trying to protect them, presumably due to the fact that killing monsters is done despite collateral damage inflicted on the locals. A few new interesting details of the Monsters’ exobiology are revealed. The pacing is a little slow, and the film dark and depressing. I felt the film was slightly better than the previous installment.
