Review of “Jupiter Ascending”

* * * B

Since the Matrix, the Warshowskis haven’t hit another home run. Jupiter Ascending may be the closest they’ve come. This film delivers space opera on a grand scale. Mila Kunis plays the title character, Channing Tatum her love interest. Sean “Winter is Coming” Bean and Nikki Amuka-Bird (Erin in “Luther”) provide support. Effects are excellent, plot simple but fitting for the genre. I found the climax a little heavy handed and denouement a little weak, but still left the theater happy with the experience.
